Estimating Engineer

Description/Duties:
1. Estimates, quotes, and interprets prints as well as determine work centers, establish standards, and recommend price and print revisions.
2. Researches estimates, collects data on similar parts, conducts time studies, reviews past quotes, current jobs and mold files. Consults with appropriate departments and investigates costs for accurate and thorough quotes.
3. Supports development of costing systems that provide current and accurate cost information.
4. Reviews tooling orders as required.
5. Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

Background/Experience Preferred:
*Education: Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.

*Experience: Experience in Manufacturing or Engineering environment. Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, estimating and preparing customer quotations helpful.
