1.

Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Scheduling and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues for customers. Communicates directly with customers to issue RMA's, respond to Corrective Action requests and understand quality issues.

Maintains the Corrective Action and Preventative Action System. Reviews and updates status of the system to assist Quality Manager. Issues Corrective Actions as directed by Quality Procedure.

Reviews and initiates, as a cross-functional team member, Control Plans, , FMEA's, Deviations, Waivers and EC's.

Assists in the design and implementation of D.O.E.'s, Control Charts, SPC plans and other functions as required to facilitate improvements.

Processes monthly and yearly certifications for customers. Interpret, document and disseminate customer quality requirements. Participate/lead internal and external audits, and back up other Quality people as required.

Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.


RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS:
Routinely interacts with Quality department staff, and has frequent communication with all levels within the manufacturing organization. Interacts frequently with all levels with the facility. Communicates with customers and outside vendors as necessary.

DIMENSIONS OF POSITION:
Ensures compliance with all Quality standards of the organization, including the standards required for quality certifications. Makes decisions regarding the acceptability of product to be shipped, as well as incoming materials and products to be used in manufacturing. Participates in decisions relative to quality that impact production, including the ability to stop production until quality to specifications is ensured, and the disposition of suspect parts.

Must be able to:
+ Distinguish color and shade variations,
+ Regularly use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls.
+ Normal physical exertion in an office work environment is expected.
+ Strong computer skills desired.
+ Participates with all employees on problem solving and process improvement.


Background/Experience Preferred:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

*Education:2 yrs. Technical degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Technician or relevant experience.
SPC / DOE / Training knowledge preferred.
*Experience:Experience in injection molding or related industry desired.
Knowledge of TS 16949 and /or ISO 13485 preferred.
Knowledge of Quality Sciences.
Strong computer skills desired.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal/customer communication skills and abilities.

Tech I = 0-5 years
Tech II = 6+ years minimum in manufacturing environment.
